Senior Legal Counsel

Houston, TX

United Imaging Healthcare develops and manufactures advanced medical equipment and solutions. Its solutions cover areas of diagnostic imaging, radiotherapy, and medical information technology. The company is building its manufacturing and sales team for its North America headquartered in Houston, Texas. We are looking for a leader to start the legal setup of the company in all aspects. The position will require the ability to efficiently support the needs of the USA manufacturing and sales force, as they strive to satisfy the needs of our customers in the transactional and support phases of our relationship.

You will play an integral role across the organization and be involved in a wide range of legal endeavors, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance and training, IP protection, contracts with customer, vendors and business partners, employment matters, and more.

The successful candidate will show the necessary legal experience and show the ability to live and work in fast paced environment with a group of colleagues striving to build a successful and collaborative team to support healthcare customers across the country.

 

Responsibilities

  • Build the legal and compliance functions at UIH with the focus of turning them into a key strategic asset for the company;
  • Advise the Executive team on strategic legal and business matters;
  • Draft and negotiate agreements and business deals with clients, business partners and service providers;
  • Advise and educate internal teams on legal considerations;
  • Support all growth and hiring topics by overseeing the setup of the company
  • Setup of templates and provide legal guidance for all customer relationships (commercial and collaborations), sales partners, and suppliers, etc.
  • Setup and manage all necessary compliance process, such as processes for Physician Payments Sunshine Act reporting
  • Leadership in all legal matters for Untied Imaging Healthcare

 

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas
  • 10 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm and/or commercial healthcare organization
  • Proven success in supporting the pace required in a sales and services organization
  • Experience with regulatory and reporting requirements related to the FDA, Sunshine Act
  • In-depth knowledge of medical device laws and regulations
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, IP licensing agreements, vendor/service provider agreements, equity/debt financing agreements
