Research Collaboration Scientist

Main Responsibilities

Major responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to experiment design, data collection, protocol development, phantom study, equipment/algorithm evaluation, image post processing, drafting papers and technology transfer support. Expected daily duties include:

  1. Participate in modality development meetings within business units, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Molecular Imaging, Computed Tomography, X-ray and Software;
  2. Act as a consultant on scientific project design within UIH and with outside collaborators;
  3. Develop advanced imaging methods, analysis algorithms, MR sequences, image reconstruction algorithms, and image post-processing tools;

Qualification Requirements

  1. Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related fields. Master’s degree with extensive experiences will also be considered;
  2. Good track record of scientific publications in medical imaging-related journals;
  3. Proficiency in C/C++ or other programming language;

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  1. Detailed technical knowledge of one or more of the following fields: MR, PET/CT, PET/MRI, CT, XR, machine learning (deep learning) and image post processing methods;
  2. Working experience as clinical research scientist at universities or industrial on-site scientist in hospitals;
