Product Manager (Modality Business)


As an Imaging Modality Product Manager covering CT, DR, MI, and/or MRI, you will be responsible for the management and marketing of the modality product portfolio. You will align customer, business, and market insights/trends to develop high impact new product introduction plans, optimizing commercialization and driving adoption of UIHS products, services and IT solutions to enable attainment of financial and business targets.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for modality New Product Introduction (NPI) plans and execution to ensure alignment and best practices for market introduction planning and execution to achieve financial and business targets;
  2. Develop compelling differentiated financial, operational and clinical value propositions to attract customer/market and preference to choose United Imaging products and services;
  3. Develop and maintain comprehensive financial business cases/models for new product releases and product life cycles. Lead comprehensive business reviews for assigned products to NA/Global teams;
  4. Provide support and recommendations to business development and sales team for Go-To-Market plans;
  5. Identify and utilize KPI's to measure the effectiveness of plans, programs and initiatives;
  6. Product Life Cycle management from NPI to end of life include installed base and upgrade programs;
  7. Provide input to the selection of National Show Sites and support visits and demonstrations as needed;
  8. Establish and maintain customer relationships with key option thought leaders;
  9. Perform and participate in market research activities focus groups, tradeshows and professional meetings;
  10. Develop, maintain and clearly communicate an in-depth understanding of competitive strengths, weaknesses, and strategic directions to address the customer and market needs. Develop comprehensive competitive responses;
  11. Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps and offerings, for assigned products with clear business and market justifications;
  12. Development and implementation of segmentation frameworks utilizing data sets to drive program development;
  13. Subject matter expert with deep domain experience articulate and write compelling content to be used for creation of product differentiation, marketing and sales materials, presentations and training;
  14. Provide strategic direction, business focused product differentiation, operational, and clinical needs to the sales team;
  15. Work with Marketing Communications to provide strategic direction and content input for Tradeshows may attend to support;
  16. Present North America customer and market insights to the Global Teams to overview competitive landscape, customer and market requirements for new products and solutions to drive alignment of roadmap development and feature/function prioritization to maximize the value proposition;
  17. Enable sales teams by presenting at product training and product and sales materials for execution of business and sales strategies;
  18. Will align product marketing, with programs, strategy and brand positioning with regulatory and legal partners delivering compliant, content, product sales support materials and creative campaigns, and advocacy initiative in partnership with Marketing and Communications team;
  19. Support Sales training by providing product overviews, Train the Trainer materials and knowledge transfer;
  20. Lead by example in supporting an engaged, high-performing culture, that is empowered and enthusiastic;
  21. 20 to 25% (include international travel)

Qualification Requirements

  1. BA/BS degree, MBA preferred;
  2. 5+ years' experience in Product Management/ Marketing or related field. Degree and practice in a clinical discipline with clinical experience with medical imaging preferred;
  3. Strong understanding of DR, CT, MI and/or MRI with successful experience in a Product Management and/or Marketing role;
  4. Proven ownership and collaboration skills in a cross-functional commercial product management team;
  5. Documented ability to meet and exceed short- and long-term deadlines and be flexible;
  6. Direct experience in a customer facing role, downstream marketing, sales, and/or field applications;
  7. Demonstrated ability to be able to predict future clinical and business trends;
  8. Past experience working within the management team with a medical imaging department/facility;
  9. Proven ability to work globally;
  10. Leadership lead teams and shape growth vision and marketing strategy;
  11. Ability to motivate individuals and demonstrate organizational influence;
  12. Develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas;
  13. Team oriented able to motivate and work well with, cross-functional teams;
  14. Excellent written and oral communications skills;
